Tweets, Thoughts And Actions

If you’re on , you gotta have something to . Here’s a recommendation for you that should help in that department. You’re al ot better off focusing on your ideas when you Tweet than on actions.

People have a tendency to mock Twitter because so much of the conversation revolves around trivialities and the actions people are engaging in every day. To be honest, those do tend to be the weakest . You can avoid falling into that trap by focusing your Tweets on ideas (and preferably ones that are germane to the interests of your social network).

In other words, a Tweet like “I’m going to Denny’s for pancakes” isn’t that interesting. It’s not valuable. It’s not even a great . It’s focused on actions.

Now, if you Tweeted “I think Denny’s is better than IHOP”, you’d at least have a chance of inspiring a little conversation. That Tweet is idea-based. Unless you’re network of followers is very excited about you can still improve your Tweet by focusing th subject matter a little better.

Think about action Tweets and thought Tweets. I think you’ll reach the same conclusion. It’s better to focus on ideas when you can.
