Teleseminars: Making Sure They Stick Around

The key to making them stick is around is to not be boring and be informative. Keep it interesting and lively at all times. Pause midstream during the and allow for a brainstorming session. Invite participants who will ensure the conversation flows. Select chatty people with good ideas that welcome a healthy debate. Be sure to take questions and be responsive to the participants’ wants and needs.

Stay on track and keep focused. Add humor to the mix. If there is just too much information to cover in one teleseminar without boring people and losing them, break up the information into multiple sessions. Don’t try to fit too much into one teleseminar or you run the risk of overwhelming the participants.

If your tone of voice is not engaging, get someone else with a pleasant, inviting voice to host the teleseminar for you. A gruff or is a turn off. Try not to get too technical or use that is unclear. If you choose to use acronyms and industry speak, be sure to define each term or phrase at the onset to be sure everyone is on the same page and understands what you are saying. There is no easier way to lose people than by talking to them in terminology that sounds like a foreign language.

Outline your subject matter and be sure it flows well naturally. Test out your teleseminar material on friends and family and listen to their suggestions about editing or adding to your material. Do your research and be well prepared. Rehearse so you don’t stumble over thoughts or words. You want a smooth presentation that is convincing to really boost sales and make you on the subject matter to build confidence in your product. If you keep all these pointers in mind, you’re sure to keep them on the line.
